AN AUTUMN CLICHE by JUBY JOSEPH
GRADE - ACCEPTANCE
Here we have strong vibrant, harmonic colours, but it lacks a simplified structure. The use of a shallow depth of field has helped isolate some of the branches from the back ground. However it would have been advantageous, to have explored the subject further, to endeavour to isolate one branch, twig or bract, against the plain sky, and concentrate on that. It is a good principal to walk around, a non changing subject, to firstly view for best angle of lighting, to check backgrounds, and to understand the subject matter. By changing viewpoints, it should have been possible to isolate a branch against this azure sky.
