"I HAVE EYES ON YOU" by JO BOYD; Grade: Honours.
What a handsome one this is. The photographer has used a small aperture to gather a large depth of field for this image. The exposure is well handled and the composition is ideal. Spiders are not too difficult to photograph so long as you don't disturb them too much or get too close. They will stay put in most circumstances, and blowing lightly in their faces sometimes slows them down too. One can only imagine what a fly or other insect feels like when one of these creatures grabs hold. you have shown all the important bits of this spider to show the viewer just how interesting they really look close up.
