HAPPINESS By VAL POHIO; GRADE HONOURS
Very nice emotion portrayed here. I like the way you have used a white vignette to give the image a dreamy effect.
A CHILDS IMAGINATION By SANDRA DANN; GRADE HONOURS
Great composition. I like the negative space used to give the feeling of open space. The joy on the childs face really makes the image. Simplicity works
A Remembered Joy By MARTIN KOHN; GRADE MERIT
Although the image is unusal I find it quite confronting. Technically it has been well done but I do not see a lot of 'emotion' in the image.
HAPPY BY CATHERINE ANSELL; GRADE ACCEPTED
Yes, there is a lot of happiness showing on the persons face but I find the person is turned away from the photographer just a little too much. The sun is very strong causing blow out on the shoulder.
FUN IN THE WET By DANIELA SCHNIEDER; GRADE MERIT
I like the idea of this image but I feel you have missed the decisive moment. The boy looks a little awkward in his stance. It would be good to see him jumping in the air. The background also takes my eye away from the boy although the orange jacket makes him the focal point.
LONG DAY By ROWENA RICHARDS; GRADE MERIT
You have done well technically with the image and I like the look on the guy's face. He is in the moment but the girl looks more interested in something else.
GRUMPY BY PETER BARBER; GRADE ACCEPTED
Yes, she does not look happy. You have named it Grumpy but I do not see someone who is really grumpy - just not happy. There is a lot of noise in the image too.
A SACRED MOMENT By JEN LEWIS; GRADE MERIT
I like the way these two are interacting with each other. The child looks to be having fun playing with the lady's face.
