Yes, pure excitement. We can see it in the
dog's face all too well. All in a great hurry
to see the ones in front, perhaps calling
him. I am not familiar with the 'Action"
setting on the Pentax, but here at even
1/500 sec shutter speed the movement of
the dog has not been stopped. To some
extent this is a focus problem as the dog
has moved past the focus point that the
camera was set on. I think that a 'Sports'
mode setting may well have worked better
if one was available, as this tends to do a
'follow focus' on your subject. The setting
you have used may well do the same, I
don't know. One would expect that with a
subject moving toward the camera, the fast
shutter speed should stop movement, this
is why I am suggesting a focus problem.
